An age old relationship based on knowledge and values is being revived right now with an unprecedented new momentum. Prime Ministers of the two countries have announced 2007 as India-Japan Friendship Year and its pronounced as potentially the most important bilateral relationship in the world. The Delhi Mumbai Industrial Corridor Project and the proposed new IIT in Japanese collaboration are two major initiatives of far reaching implications.
The first IIT Alumni Japan Conference strives to promote awareness on the new potential and facilitate people-to-people contacts on a wide range of areas across academics, business and socio-politics in India-Japan domain with a global perspective.
Bringing strategic partners together on the new momentum, this is a collaborative effort in support from and partnership with Indian Embassy, MOFA (Ministry of Foreign Affairs), METI (Ministry of Economy Trade and Industry, Japan), Keio University, JETRO, Nippon Keidanren, Japan-India Business Cooperation Committee, Japan and Tokyo Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Japan India Partnership Forum, Confederation of Indian Industry, IBEF, Japan India Business Cooperation Committee and Japan-India Association.
In an interactive atmosphere of speeches, panel discussions, entertainment program and cocktail dinners with media coverage, the conference offers excellent opportunities for connecting with leaders from a wide spectrum of international perspectives and global image building.
